North Shore NCPAL- Roller Hockey Roller Hockey
North Shore PAL Roller Hockey is an outdoor two seasons
(Spring & Fall) In-line Roller Hockey League for skaters of all
abilities.
Our youngest/least experienced participants join our SMURF
program. This is a learn to skate program designed to build skating
skills and begin to learn hockey basics.
Once a player is capable of
participating in game play, they then play on one of our league teams
based on age. All players are evaluated and teams are balanced and
drafted based on ability.
Players range in age from 4 to 17.
Players are required to wear
full in-line roller hockey equipment including hockey helmets, inline
skates, stick, mouth guards, shin guards, hip pads, chest pad, elbow
pads and gloves. A hockey jersey is provided to all players by the
league.
Our league is volunteer run and community based. We believe that
sports should be fun. Good sportsmanship, hard work and skill
development are the cornerstones to our program. Unfortunately, we
cannot honor requests for car pools or teammates.
Mandatory evaluations for new players and for Smurfs wishing to
move to Minis will be held prior to the season at the PAL Hockey Rink,
Tappen Beach Park, Sea Cliff. More information on these evaluations will
be sent to new players as the season approaches.
